It’s that time of year again and entry for the Winter League is open. The deadline for entries is 21st August.

Teams should consist of 2 men and 2 ladies with Men’s, Ladies and Mixed doubles being played.  Matches can be played midweek evenings provided teams have adequate floodlights or alternately at weekends.

Online entry

This is our third season with this approach and we’re hopeful the system will remain a positive step forward. It will certainly help with the collection of fees and the manual effort for the administrators.

As we adapt to the new system we still require the spreadsheet entry form.

Manual Entry

The xls file is provided for those with spreadsheet software that doesn’t support xlsx format. However, some features aren’t supported such as club name drop-down and fines lookup. In this case, please enter the club name as defined in the Reference tab. If this format has to be used, then an administrator may have to produce an xlsx format file to ensure the correct additional fees have been calculated.

We are still awaiting the creation of the LTA league. Once this has been created we’ll let you know.

Please note:

• please can you ensure the person undertaking your online entry has been granted the County & District League Admin role. This can applied through the LTA Affiliation process at any time of the year. If you need to reassign this role, please contact the person at your club responsible for LTA Affiliation. The role should be applied to only one person.
• as a starting point last year’s teams have been copied forward.
• the cost per team is £10.
• the team captain is an optional field, but please complete at this stage to avoid having to input at a later date.
• If you wish to request a team is promoted or relegated please do NOT withdraw your team and insert again, please use the ‘Request’ feature to ask for a promotion or relegation.
• If you wish a team to be withdrawn, please do not remove any lower ranked teams and insert again. Please use the ‘Request’ feature.
• Where possible please can you annotate your team entries using the ‘Request’ function. This will ensure the league administrator have all the relevant information in the system and not over a range of emails.
• By default, we will put all teams from the same club, who play on the same home match night, into alternating pairs in the most helpful way for the league sort. If specific alternating pairs are required, then please add a request on the online entry.

As entry is by LTA Venue, the PAKT entry will need to be included in the Swindon Tennis club entry.

Team names can be edited once the league has been published but this will be a manual task for the Club Administrator. At the moment the teams within a club sit in the entry page, once the league has been generated, teams will move to the teams tab and from there the Club Administrator has access to change the team names.
